The HyLED C50 from Mindray is a powerful high-end surgical light offering up to 160,000 lux at a distance of 1 metre.
Thanks to the integrated Multi-Patch Superposition Technology (MPST), surgeons using the HyLED C50 always have a clear and evenly illuminated surgical field. The light field remains constant in brightness, shape, and colour temperature – even when the surgeons’ heads are within the light field.
The size of the light field can be adjusted continuously from 27 cm to 14 cm in diameter, ensuring optimal illumination, even when the surgical field is smaller, such as in operations with smaller incision sizes.
The settings of the HyLED C50 can be controlled both via capacitive touch control and remote control (e.g., a tablet). However, the multifunctional handle is particularly noteworthy, as it allows surgeons to adjust the settings with a single touch: light intensity, light field diameter, colour temperature, and the M-field mode. These settings can be configured as desired.
The lamp’s rotation is free of stop points in all joints, meaning there’s no need to reposition the support arm. The illuminated field can be easily adjusted, which is essential when there are multiple surgical fields on one patient.
The colour temperature can be set between 3500K and 5100K, which helps to better identify different tissue types and perceive the true tissue colours.
The antibacterial design supports the maintenance of a sterile environment during surgical procedures. Mindray lights are coated with an antibacterial layer, reducing bacterial growth. The HyLED C50 is also laminar-flow-compatible due to its integrative screw-free design.
The exceptionally high-quality OSRAM LED light sources provide a lifespan of up to 60,000 hours (or 10 years of use). This is made possible by the Anti-Attenuation THERMO Technology, which ensures that the HyLED C50 delivers consistent light output throughout its entire lifespan (conventional lights without THERMO technology start to lose power after just 20,000 hours).
The HyLED C50 achieves these exceptional performances while consuming only about 50% of the power used by other lamps, namely 30W.
The HyLED C50 is available as a ceiling lamp. It can be configured as a single lamp, double lamp, or with one or even two monitor arms, fully completing the surgical setup from a single provider and with a single ceiling mount.
As if that wasn’t enough, the HyLED C50 setup can even be retrofitted with a surgical camera, transmitting to one of the monitors. These installations can be completed in under 2 hours!
