Capacity Building

Optimal anaesthetic management and adequate analgesia are key for the scientific outcome of research projects. However, requirements of every institution and project are different. We can discuss your current anaesthetic management or focus on specific problems you are currently experiencing.

Additionally, VAS offers in-house training with your staff in your facilities to match your needs. We would like to build your teams confidence in the daily management of anaesthetic cases. Solving common problems and hands on learning are integral parts of our teaching. We teach in lectures, workshops, practical hands on- training and even during your daily routine. We cover any aspect of veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia, from the actual anaesthetic procedure including monitoring to pre- and postop management and long-term analgesia.

We want to be involved in advancing knowledge and improving care in veterinary anaesthesia and pain management through research. Besides collaboration in research projects, we write our own publications and offer collaborative dissertations (Dr.med.vet. at the University of Zürich).

Technicians from your institution with an interest in further training in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia are referred to our Veterinary Anaesthesia School for Technicians and Assistants (VASTA) accessible through our website for technicians.
