Olivier Levionnois

Dr. med. vet., DipECVAA, PhD

Dr. Levionnois received his veterinary degree from the University of Nantes, France,  in 2001 and completed a one year internship in equine studies at the University of Montreal, Canada.  He returned to Europe and started a three year residency program in Bern, Switzerland. During this time he recieved is doctorate in France and completed his thesisi in Switzerland. Olivier is a diplomate oft he European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia since 2007 and works at the Anesthesiology Section of the Vetsuisse faculty in Bern, Switzerland. He completed aPhD program in Berne, which he defended successfully in 2011. He is very interested in didactcs and is on his way to complete his certification. In 2012 Olivier will work for one year in Oslo, Norway.

His main interests are clinical pharamacology of anaesthetics and analgesics as well as clinical anaesthesia of horses.

In his spare time: running arround like mad, climbing, cycling, head stand, swimming, jummping from walls higher than oneself, downhill with the kickboard without breaking, football, jump on the bed, judo, hop up and down the table … all of this he is gladly watching from the leather sofa with an espresso and amaretto when his kids get rid of all their energy.
